To provide feedback on our performance, we utilize Professional Research Consultants (PRC), a national research firm specializing in healthcare. On an ongoing basis, PRC compares Flagstaff Medical Center’s patient satisfaction scores with hospitals across the nation. We then share this information with our patients, visitors, physicians, employees and volunteers.

Flagstaff Medical Center also participates in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) as part of the Hospital Quality Initiative developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The goal of the program is to identify a set of standardized and easy-to-understand hospital quality measures used by healthcare providers in order to improve quality of care and the ability of consumers to make informed healthcare choices.
