Christopher J. Bavasi has served on the FMC Board of Directors since 2001. He was elected chair of the FMC Board of Directors in October 2008. During his tenure on the FMC Board, Chris has served on several committees including finance, governance, physician recruitment and the FMC Foundation.
He has served on the NAH Board of Directors since 2003, currently serving as the secretary of the Board. Additionally, Chris serves on the Board of Directors for The Peaks Senior Living Community, which is a partnership with NAH.
Chris, who is executive director of the Office of Navajo and Hopi Indian Relocation Commission, has been a Flagstaff resident for more than 40 years and is a graduate of Northern Arizona University,
Chris has demonstrated extensive experience, commitment and leadership in the greater Flagstaff community. He served as the mayor of Flagstaff from 1988 to 2000, after being elected to the Flagstaff City Council in 1984. He has worked as an officer with the City of Flagstaff Police Department and served as the director of the Northern Arizona Council of Governments.
