14th Annual Pepsi-Cola Taylor House Century Ride set for July 19

June 12, 2014

The 14th annual Pepsi-Cola Taylor House Century Ride, set for Saturday, July 19, will give cyclists the opportunity to ride through Northern Arizona and enjoy the beautiful views while supporting a good cause. As always, the proceeds will benefit The Taylor House, a special home away from home for the families of patients who are being cared for at Flagstaff Medical Center.

The 95-mile route begins at FMC and takes riders through Flagstaff and Wupatki and Sunset Crater national monuments, and back to FMC. For those who want to ride shorter distances, 65-, 45- and 30-mile loops also are available. All routes wind through historic Flagstaff, and then loop through the cool pines and high desert of Northern Arizona. There also will be a catered lunch at the end of the ride.

More than 300 cyclists are expected to participate in this annual ride, which begins with a group start at 7 a.m.; check in is at 6 a.m. Riders leave from the FMC West Campus parking lot, on the corner of Beaver Street and Forest Avenue.

Registration is $60 per person. Cyclists, on a first-come, first-served basis, will receive a 2014 commemorative t-shirt and water bottle. In addition to the t-shirt and water bottle, donors of $150 will receive a $35 Absolute Bikes gift certificate; $500 donors will receive a $75 Absolute Bikes gift certificate; $1,000 donors will receive a $100 Absolute Bikes gift certificate.
