5th annual Chicks With Sticks golf tournament raises $40,000

The Chicks With Sticks Ladies Open, hosted by Northern Arizona Healthcare, raised more than $40,000 to benefit cancer patients. Proceeds from this ladies-only tournament will support the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare, which provide education, support and resources for cancer patients and their families.

This year’s open was June 5 at the Pine Canyon Golf Club in Flagstaff. The event sold out with 25 foursomes. Sponsors of the event included: The Loven Family, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Conifer Health Solutions, Little America, Aspen Place, Massage Envy, Flagstaff Face & Body, Findlay Toyota and Pepsi.

“We are grateful to all those who participated and supported the event to benefit cancer patients in Northern Arizona,” said Richard Smith, Ed.D., Northern Arizona Healthcare vice president of Development, Marketing and Education. “Our mission at Northern Arizona Healthcare is to transform the health of the communities we serve. Fundraising events like Chicks With Sticks help us fulfill our mission and improve the health of our communities.”
