Destination Abroad: Disease and illness prevention while traveling is the topic of the June Flagstaff Take Note Flagstaff Lecture Series, sponsored by Flagstaff Medical Center. The Tuesday, June 19 lecture will feature infectious disease physician Mark Lacy, M.D. The free presentation is 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the East Flagstaff Community Library, 3000 N. Fourth Street. Dr. Lacy will discuss the need for immunizations before traveling outside the country, how to keep your health in check, health resources available to travelers and health concerns to be aware of while traveling.
Dr. Lacy has been on staff at FMC since 2001. He is board-certified in infectious diseases, internal medicine and pediatrics. He specializes in infectious diseases, travel medicine, hospital infection control, HIV/AIDS medicine and international health.
