Lab Professionals Rock Your Pride
April 20-26 is National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week. The theme this year is “Rock Your Pride – pride in yourself, pride in your work, pride in your results.” Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is an annual celebration of the laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in every aspect of healthcare. Since they often work behind the scenes, few people know about the critical testing they perform every day.
Recently, the Flagstaff Medical Center andVerde Valley Medical Center laboratories combined to form one service under the Northern Arizona Healthcare umbrella. The newly united department has 127 employees and offers laboratory services at FMC and VVMC, as well as Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Sedona and Village of Oak Creek. NAH lab services include outpatient and inpatient testing, full pathology services, infectious disease testing, and molecular diagnostics. Lab services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
Laboratory Professionals Week is a time to honor the more than 300,000 medical laboratory professionals around the country who perform and interpret more than 10 billion laboratory tests in the U.S. every year. In honor of this week, we kindly ask that you take a moment to thank our laboratory professionals.
