35th annual Machine Solutions Run & Walk to benefit chronically ill and disabled children - Aug. 3
For 35 years, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities have enjoyed fresh air and altitude of Flagstaff while helping to support the medical needs of children by participating in the Machine Solutions Run to benefit the Children’s Health Center at Flagstaff Medical Center. This year’s event is dedicated to Beth Motsenbocker who recently passed away. Beth’s husband, Tom, is the co-founder of Machine Solutions which has been a longtime supporter of the annual run.
The family-friendly event is set for Saturday, Aug. 3, offers a 5K and 10K trail run or a 2K family fitness walk/run at the Fort Tuthill County Park, located just two miles south of Flagstaff on I-17, exit 337. The run is part of the Flagstaff Summer Running Series.
Runs start at 8 a.m. Registration fees are $45 for the 10K; $40 for the 5K; and fees for the 2K family fitness run are $50 for up to four family members or $20 for individual participants. To register, visit virtualroster.com or call FMC Foundation at 877-527-5291.
The Children’s Health Center (CHC) provides specialty pediatric outpatient clinics and healthcare for Northern Arizona children with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Each year, CHC cares from more than 2,400 children. Programs include: Children’s rehabilitation Services (CRS), Safe Child, a child abuse examination/interview clinic, and other pediatric subspecialty clinic and therapies.
