The winter season is a joyful time of year when families, friends and neighbors gather to give back to families in need. Every year, there are numerous families in Northern Arizona who struggle to buy even the most basic necessities, like food.

The Flagstaff Pharmacy, a division of Flagstaff Medical Center, knows the season for giving never ends. Flagstaff Pharmacy is asking for community participation in collecting non-perishable food donations for local food banks and shelters. In return, the Flagstaff Pharmacy is offering a discount to its customers. For each non-perishable food item donated during January, customers will receive $1 off their new or refill prescription; with a maximum of $5 off per day per family.
