Flagstaff Medical Center’s Therapy Services Department is supporting the health and well-being of the Flagstaff community through a variety of aquatic classes. Low-impact exercise in a warm-water environment is perfect for individuals of all abilities especially for people struggling with medical conditions or weight issues.
Exercising in water is a safe and gentle way to gain strength and motion. Water buoyancy decreases strain on joints while the resistance of water helps build strength. The warm temperature helps reduce pain and stiffness.
Currently, classes are available from 7 – 8 a.m., noon – 1 p.m., 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. and 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each session consists of 45 minutes of instruction followed by 15 minutes of independent workout in the pool. The cost is $5 per class or $40 for 10 classes. Call 928 773-2125 to confirm times and availability or to learn more about aquatic classes.
FMC’s physical, speech, occupational and massage therapists are committed to maximizing your quality of life. For more information about the programs and services offered through FMC’s Therapy Services, visit FlagstaffMedicalCenter.com.
