Free seminar: Nutritional Therapy for High Cholesterol Oct. 14

Flagstaff Medical Center and the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona are hosting a free seminar about Nutritional Therapy for High Cholesterol. Presented by Kenneth Bescak, M.D., F.A.C.C., the seminar is 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14 at New Frontiers Natural Marketplace off of Butler Ave. and Lone Tree Rd. Dr. Bescak is a diagnostic cardiologist with the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona. He specializes in lipid management, coronary heart disease management and cardiac rehabilitation and is an expert on how to treat and manage high cholesterol through proper nutrition. Dr. Bescak is one of 500 board-certified lipidologists in the country certified by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. Lipid management is an important factor in the prevention of coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease.

The Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona (HVCNA) is a partnership between Verde Valley Medical Center and Flagstaff Medical Center.
