The American Diabetes Association’s Diabetes Alert Day is designed to encourage Americans to get informed about the risks of diabetes and get screened for the disease.

Participants can receive a diabetes risk test, diabetes screenings by certified diabetes educators, blood sugar evaluations, oral and foot checks, blood pressure checks, retinal scans, and shoe and footwear evaluations.
