FMC’s annual Fantastic Voyage Oct. 1 – part of the Festival of Science

As part of the 2011 Science Illuminates citywide Festival of Science, Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) will host Fantastic Voyage from noon – 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 at the hospital, 1200 N. Beaver Street. This event is designed for school-age children and will feature displays and hands-on activities promoting exploration of the human body and healthcare.

Activities will include an opportunity to see a medical helicopter and ambulance up close, children can discover how their voice works, learn about germs, look deep into their ear canal, listen to a baby’s heartbeat, look at X-rays and more. 

Together, kids and their parents can learn valuable information about their bodies and how to keep themselves healthy. Kids can bring their Festival of Science passport and have it stamped too.

Fantastic Voyage is an annual event held in conjunction with the 10-day Flagstaff Festival of Science. For more information, call FMC Public Relations at 773-2080.
