Machine Solutions Run for Children’s Health Center tops $17,000 in proceeds

The Children’s Health Center and Flagstaff Medical Center would like to extend its thanks to all the sponsors and participants for the 2011 Machine Solutions Run for CHC, held Aug. 6. This year, there was a record number of more than 430 registrants, who helped raise more than $17,000 to benefit FMC’s Children’s Health Center (CHC). CHC provides specialty pediatric outpatient clinics and healthcare for Northern Arizona children with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses and other disabling conditions.
Sponsors this year include the title sponsor Machine Solutions; women’s 5K sponsor Plastic Surgeons of Northern Arizona; men’s 5K sponsor Sunwest Bank; 2K fun run sponsor Mountain View Pediatrics. Team sponsors included: Alliance Bank of Arizona; Around the Mountain Pediatric Dentistry; Capstone Health Plan; Highlands Fire Department; Jeff Rockow, M.D., pediatric cardiologist; Steven Peterson, M.D., cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon; and United Seating & Mobility. A special thanks Guardian Medical Transport, Sports Medicine Center of Northern Arizona, Kohl’s, Biff’s Bagels and to all the numerous volunteers who help make this annual event such a big success.
