More than 150 have a “nutritional good time” at Fit Kids’ It’s All About Me!

In an effort to help children and their families lead healthier and more active lives, Fit Kids of Arizona hosted its third installment of the “It’s All About Me!” series in October in Flagstaff. This time, it was “All About Nutrition!”
This free, fun-filled event brought more than 150 people together to engage in hands-on activities, cooking demonstrations, nutrition, education, games, healthy snacks, giveaways, raffle prizes and more.

Fit Kids of Arizona is a regional community health initiative developed by Northern Arizona Healthcare, with programs at Flagstaff Medical Center and Verde Valley Medical Center, Fit Kids address, one of the largest healthcare concerns facing the U.S. today – childhood obesity. The clinical programs at each location assist children and their families in learning about healthy lifestyle choices while reducing the problems and illnesses associated with excess weight. The Fit Kids team also focuses on taking a preventive community approach to help families live healthier lives.
