Cancer Center offers free healthy cooking class – Oct. 25 at The Seasoned Kitchen
The Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare – Flagstaff Campus is offering a free healthy cooking class with Dietitian Cathy Tomasi. The class is 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 at The Seasoned Kitchen, 106 N. San Francisco St., Flagstaff. For more information or to R.S.V.P., call 928-773-2261.
This healthy cooking class offers tasty cooking options to help prevent cancer. Tomasi will discuss choosing foods and demonstrate recipes that may prevent cancer and foods that may decrease your risk of cancer incidence.
Tomasi specializes in providing medical nutritional therapy to patients who have received a cancer diagnosis including individual dietary consultations with patients and group education for patients and their families.
Cancer researchers have long been investigating how food choices can help prevent cancer and improve survival when cancer has been diagnosed. Studies have shown that a plant-based diet offers more cancer-fighting protection than other diet plans.
