Take Note Flagstaff: Importance of colon cancer screenings - April 17
Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) is sponsoring the Take Note Flagstaff Lecture Series. The Tuesday, April 17 lecture, “Importance of colon cancer screening,” will feature gastroenterologist M. Angelo Trujillo, M.D. The lecture is 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Flagstaff Public Library Fourth Street Branch, 3000 N. Fourth Street. Dr. Trujillo will discuss the importance of early detection of colorectal cancer, screening options and the prevention of colorectal cancer. Board-certified in gastroenterology, Dr. Trujillo specializes in the treatment of colon cancer and conditions that affect the liver, gallbladder and pancreas.
In addition to the free lecture, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare will be offering $15 take-home colorectal cancer screening kits.
The Take Note Lecture Series, sponsored by FMC, offers various health-related educational topics to benefit the community. The lectures feature prominent speakers who are experts in their field.
