May 15 Take Note Flagstaff: Cholesterol and waistlines – keep the numbers down
Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) is sponsoring the Take Note Flagstaff Lecture Series. The Tuesday, May 15 lecture, “Cholesterol and waistlines – keep the numbers down,” will feature interventional cardiologist Omar Wani, M.D., and cardiologist Kenneth Bescak, M.D. The lecture is 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the East Flagstaff Community Library, 3000 N. Drs. Wani and Bescak will discuss the significance of knowing your cholesterol numbers, how to control cholesterol through diet and the importance of keeping your waistline trim and slim. Dr. Wani specializes in interventional cardiac and vascular medicine. Dr. Bescak is a nationally known specialist in lipid management, widely considered the leading indicator of heart disease.
