Visitation restrictions lifted at Flagstaff Medical Center

March 1, 2013

Due to the decline of influenza and RSV cases nationally and locally, FMC has lifted its annual visitation restrictions. Effective Friday, March 1, children under the age of 12 years old will be allowed in the hospital to visit patients. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and are not to be left unattended in any area of the hospital.

For the safety and wellness of patients, staff and visitors, FMC requests that anyone with symptoms of illness such as fever, headache, sore throat, body aches, congestion or cough refrain from visiting the hospital unless they are a patient. However, if you have symptoms of an illness and must visit the hospital, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and FMC request the use of a mask and washing your hands with antibacterial, waterless hand sanitizer before entering the facility. Masks and antibacterial, waterless hand sanitizer are available at all entrances.
