FMC hosts fourth annual Bariatric Reunion Fitness Walk

Past bariatric surgery patients, supporters and the bariatric team at Flagstaff Medical Center will be coming together for a reunion fitness fun walk from 1 - 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3 at Buffalo Park. The reunion event brings patients, healthcare providers and supporters together for a two-mile walk on the fitness course to celebrate their successes.

Additionally, kids and families from the Fit Kids of Arizona program will be joining in the fun.

The Bariatric Surgical Weight Loss Center at FMC is the only hospital north of Phoenix that offers weight loss surgery, and is the only weight loss surgery program in Arizona to use the advanced technology provided by the da Vinci Surgical Robot. FMC offers a comprehensive weight loss surgery program and the support to help each patient achieve their goals.

Fit Kids of Arizona is a clincal program that provides children and their families the tools for conquering childhood obesity. The goal of Fit Kids is to help children learn how to maintain a happy, healthy lifestyle and reduce the problems and illnesses associated with excess weight. The program serves children up to age 18.
