Susie Enes

Rescuing animals is my passion.
And rescuing people like me is the passion of the physicians at the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona.

Susie Enes is a born caregiver. She and her husband are actively involved with three agencies that rescue animals. “We’re caring for 129 burros and 70 horses that have been abused,” Susie said. “But I wouldn’t be able to do so if the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona hadn’t taken care of me.”

Susie had been traveling from Chino Valley to Phoenix to see a cardiologist at a renowned clinic, but knew she wasn’t getting the care she needed. When a friend suggested Susie drive to Flagstaff to see her physician, Dr. Omar Wani, an interventional cardiologist at the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona, she eagerly took the advice.

“Dr. Wani took the time to really listen and understand what was going on with me,“ Susie said. “I felt like I had my life back. I’m happy to travel to see such a wonderful caring doctor.”

Today, an energetic Susie works with Donkey Rescue of Chino Valley and Bradshaw Mountain Rescue. “I’m a strong willed person”, she says. “Thanks to Dr. Wani, I’m going to be around a while because heaven has things for me to do on earth.”
