Alan Motter, M.S.N., F.N.P.-C

Alan Motter, M.S.N., F.N.P.-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner with Team Health in Flagstaff. Team Health is a service of Flagstaff Medical Center.

Expertise and Special Interests

As a family nurse practitioner, Alan believes in taking the time to listen to his patients. He also likes to make sure he and his patients agree on treatment plans. His clinical strengths are outpatient procedures for primary care including wound care, laceration repair, and joint and soft tissue injections.

His special interests are infectious diseases and men’s health.

Education and Certification

Alan earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Arizona University.

Prior to joining Team Health, he was a family nurse practitioner in Williams and in Flagstaff. During his nursing career, Alan served as the infection control nurse for Flagstaff Medical Center. As a nursing student, he was recognized with an "Outstanding Clinician" award.

Alan is board-certified as a nurse through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is active in the community including serving as a board member for Grand Canyon Youth and as a volunteer medical provider for Flying Samaritans in Baja, Mexico. Additionally he is involved with the Whale Foundation, an organization focused on improving the health of the Northern Arizona river guide community.
