Gretchen Alsip Vollbrecht, F.N.P., is a certified family nurse practitioner with Team Health in Flagstaff. Team Health is a service of Flagstaff Medical Center.
Expertise and special interests
Gretchen’s background is in family practice. She enjoys seeing members of the same family because she believes it helps provide good continuity of care. She likes to educate patients about their medical issues and care options so they can make informed choices about their medical care. Patients appreciate the time she spends with them and her ability to listen, so she can go over their issues and
concerns thoroughly. In the past, Gretchen has had the opportunity to provide medical care to athletes who participated in local races.
Education and certification
Gretchen graduated cum laude with honors from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., and was selected to Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to complete a very competitive graduate program to be a nurse practitioner, while taking care of her family. Gretchen is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
