John Zarske, Ed.D., is a neuropsychologist with Team Health in Flagstaff. Team Health is a service of Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC).
Expertise and special interests
Dr. Zarske has practiced clinical neuropsychology in Flagstaff for more than 30 years. As a neuropsychologist, Dr. Zarske studies the structure and function of the brain as they relate to specific psychological processes and behaviors. His expertise is helping patients with traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions. Dr. Zarske sees both pediatric and adult patients referred by Team Health providers, as well as providing inpatient consults to FMC patients. His empathy, enthusiasm and expertise are appreciated by his patients.
Education and certification
Dr. Zarske earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and his doctorate in psychology from Northern Arizona University.
Dr. Zarske is the past president of the Arizona Psychological Association. In 2000, he received the Governor's Award for Excellence for his work with the Arizona Kids with Traumatic Brain Injury program.
He is a fellow with the American College of Professional Neuropsychology, as well as a member of several organizations including the American Psychological Association, the Arizona Neuropsychological Society and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Zarske is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology.
