Meet Our OTs

Mickie Toutant, O.T.

Mickie has been practicing as an occupational therapist since she graduated with a bachelor’s in 1979 from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn. She has received special certifications in neuro developmental technique, and Tai-Chi. Her primary areas of clinical expertise include neuro, hand therapy and working with cancer survivors. Her main interests in life include family, friends, her three Schnauzers, exercise and laughter. She has been living in Flagstaff and working at FMC since1995.




Susan Enerson, O.T., CLT-LANA 


Susan received her occupational therapy degree at Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, WI in 1974. She has worked at FMC since 1987. Sue has expertise in lymphedema management and is certified by the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA). She also has extensive experience in adult neuro-rehabilitation (NDT certified) She enjoys travel, family time and gardening.



Kathy Barrett, O.T.

Kathy has been an Occupational therapist since 1996, working first at Duke University Medical Center, then at Flagstaff Medical Center since 2001.  She has worked at FMC in a variety of capacities, including acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and pediatrics. Since 2006, she has worked in Children's Rehabilitation Services and has  developed the outpatient pediatric occupational therapy  program in therapy services. She is currently working on her certification in sensory integration and praxis testing and treatment. Kathy graduated from Duke University in 1987 with a B.A. in Psychology and from University of North Carolina in 1996 with an M.S. in Occupational Therapy. In her free time, Kathy actively volunteers in the community, enjoys outdoor activities and spends time with her family.
