Patient Valuables
We encourage you to leave all personal belongings and valuables at home when planning a stay at FMC. However, in those instances when you would like to have something secured, the Security Department will secure your valuables in a safe place. All other personal belongings will remain in the patient's room.
Examples of valuables the Security Department safe can secure include: wallets, checkbooks, credit cards, cash, jewelry, ID documents, cell phones, etc.
Examples of belongings the Security Department safe cannot secure: Large purses, backpacks, luggage, clothing.
If you have extenuating circumstances or additional questions regarding patient valuables, please ask your nurse to contact a security officer to meet with you.
